Adam's Home!

ADAM'S  HOME!!!

Adam is Michael's best friend.  He left for Argentina on his mission in
March and Michael left in June.
So, Adam is home now and that means Michael will be home very soon!
This week as I was preparing for the week and thinking about the fact that I would be  seeing Adam again, I began to cry as I thought about how much I love Adam and when I think of Adam of course I think about Michael because they were never apart...or rarely.  So, seeing Adam again has calmed me and now I feel like I need to have him here all the time so I can know everyday that Michael really will return.
So, I will probably at least be in touch with him quite a lot before then.

We had a mexican dinner with the Hogges and Adam was being his usual crazy self.  Here is Stephen and Adam together.  I will never forget when Stephen was little he idolized Adam because he was such a goof-ball and guess who is the goof-ball now?
I cant wait til all the boys are together again!

Adam is also a very sweet, kind a loving young man.  Here is a picture of he and his Mom, Linda.  He adores his MOm and she adores him.  Linda and I are good friends and share many memories of our kids growing up and now we have new hopes and dreams to share as we see them grow into their own awesome people!
(Gotta have a picture with your Momma when you've been gone for 2 years!)

And here is the whole group of us together.  We have a very special love for the Hogge family. Mark was our bishop for the almost 7 years before we came out here to Utah.  He was also Stephen's 6th grade teacher.  Mark and Linda have been so awesome to allow me to dote on Adam as I am sure they know it has filled a void that has been in my heart for the past 2 years.
Adam and I share a special bond as you can imagine.
Knowing that Adam is home again is a huge comfort!!!

We love you Adam!

Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles

I know I've been writing about Stephen a lot lately. But I cant help it...he is always doing something and it's just fun! So, now Prom is coming up and he has asked a good friend of his to go with him. He is really excited because Cami is so much fun and he says he knows he will have a good time. To make it even more fun Sophia is coming out this week and she will be staying and going with Stephen's friend Karson (a real cutie) so they are gonna have a blast!

Prom is so different here than it is back in Cali. For starters anyone can go. It is not just for Juniors or Seniors. So, Stephen will have 3 opportunities to go. Needless to say, with all the other fun date dances they have at his school, he will be doing a lot of dating!

So, here is what he did for his date to ask her....

(Cami and Stephen both love to sing so..)
He purchased the sheet music to the song above "A thousand Miles".  Because it is the first song they sang together in Choir.  Then he wrote a note that said:

I would walk

 "A Thousand Miles"

If you would go to

 Prom

with me!

He then bought a long stemmed rose and placed it on top of the music and note and tied it together with a ribbon.  He then ran to her house and rang the doorbell and left this on her front porch.  So cute!

And this is what Cami did last night to answer him.

There was a late night knock on our door and this was sitting at the door.

And down the sidewalk from our house were these candles lit up on each peice of cake with the 3 peices spelling out Y E S!

So very cute!  Huh?

I wish I was a teenager again!!

Live life to the fullest!

I wish I had as much fun as a teenager as this kid is having.

Disco Skating in Orem on a typical Saturday night.
The thing to do...go to DI to buy clothes, get dressed up crazy
as you can and have a blast!

These kids know how to have fun!

The front gable

Uncle Keith has been working on the front gable this past week.  Starting by putting up the posts on either side of the steps that Mike has been framing.
Remember when I took that vote for this part of the enterance?
Go HERE to see which one we chose, it's #2.
There he is, 60 something, and up on that roof!  Uncle Keith is our everything guy!
Especially our Electrician! What a pain it is to figure out all the lighting in the
house, where we wants lights and where they will switch from, which ones together, which ones separate...etc....what a pain!

He is a great man!  Love him!
Well, stay tuned for the pictures of the completed front gable!

Kiss the girl

Last night after Stephen had finished playing his first baseball game of the night and was getting ready to start the second, he suddenly remembered that he had a Choir concert at 7:30 so he told me to pick him up at 6:15. I arrived just in time to see him hit the ball and get the first RBI for his team. We then quickly left to go home and get ready for the concert. So, here he is with all the boys singing "Kiss the Girl" from "The Little Mermaid" They were great! I am gonna try and get the video up here. It's a bit fuzzy off and on but they sound great!

It worked!

Enjoy!

Places to walk

Today Dad worked on forming up the sidewalk in front of our house.

And Mike worked on forming up the first step from the front door.

Here's a closer view.
The steps will start with this one and then gradually get
smaller as you get closer to the walkway.

Last week Dad worked on forming up the patio that is outside the back sidedoor.

Eventually this area will also be patio outside the french doors along
side the garage as we get further along.

We also got the fireplace in!  And the windows on either side will eventually have window seats in front of them. ( I am really excited about those...they were my idea.:)

Here is a rear view of the house outside Mom and Dad's front porch.

And Mike continues to work on the downstairs bedrooms for the boys!

Now that the weather is getting nicer I am getting more excited to see more progress on the house in the near future!  So stay tuned!
