She's back and He's cracked!

Sophia arrived on Friday afternoon.  She is on Spring Break and we get to have her here all week!
On Sunday between Conference sessions we made some yummy rolls as Stephen and Sophia
worked on Stephen's election posters for Student Council!

Crazy kids, having fun!
Sophia recently ran for Publicity on her student body council and won.
So, she pretty much took over for Stephen and came up with some
great posters, pins and t-shirts for him! They worked all weekend on them.

Love this pose, don't you?

Heaven help us all!

So here is one of the posters they(Sophia) came up with.
Stephen wanted to do a Hunger Games theme with fire in the
background.  So, he spray painted his hair yellow and red which turned out
orange like this.  This week is election week.
He is running for Student Body President.
We find out the results on Friday.
Keep your fingers crossed!

Preference

Stephen got asked to Preference by Ashlie and they attended on Friday March 30th.

That boy seriously needs a hair cut!

Had to get a going away shot, yes, they were thrilled...cant you tell?

Another Birthday Boy

On March 29th we celebrated Stephen's birthday!
He turned 17 this year.
Elsie and Stephen are best friends....eh hmm.
Anyway, her sisters adore him and they made a music video for him to the song
"Hey Stephen" by Taylor Swift.  It was adorable!
We had the whole family over for dinner that night.
That's what he wanted.
Happy Birthday Stephen!

A Las Vegas Temple Sealing

I went to Las Vegas on March 23rd to attend Johnny and Amanda's sealing in the Temple. We had a great time seeing Linda's family again.  Johnny looks so much like her and I knew she was beaming with joy from Heaven that day.  It was a very happy occassion for all of us!
 Tamra and Darrell
Mom and Tamra
Mom and her girls!

Tamra, Me, Mom, Amanda, Johnny, Regina, and Theresa
Regina, Mom, Darrell, Martha, Theresa

What a great occassion to bring us all together again.
It was a very Happy Reunion!

Ouch....that had to hurt!

Well, this was the weekend for injuries I guess.
Friday night Bryce and Stephen played yet another game of church Basketball.  They were pretty pumped up because they have been on a winning streak.  And to make it even more exciting, Stephen and Bryce seemed to be the golden duo on the team.  Between the 2 of them they were keeping the team
consistently ahead of their opponents...sometimes barely but still enough to win in the end.
Well, then it happened.  Bryce went up for a lay-up and came down hard on the outside of his
foot and sprained his ankle!  After the play he never got back up and so of course I ran out to see what had
happened as he came wobbling back over.  It looked gross!  We thought at first he had dislocated his ankle but after rushing him to my Chiropractor we found that it was just a sprain. He adjusted his ankle and
then wrapped it. He had to dig around to find his ankle bone through all that swelling and I thought Bryce was gonna pass out!  But he toughed it out and made it through.

Then Michael came home later that night with several bloody scratches down his face!
He works at a special home for boys with emotional and behavior problems.
He had recently been thru training on how to put the boys in a "hold" when things get out of hand.
Well, it seems that this particular night one of the boys they were dealing with got out of the hold he was in and attacked Michael and scratched his face!  Michael was so upset that it got that out of hand.
So, we've been doctoring up his face ever since.
I don't believe it was deep enough that it will leave any scars hopefully.

Boy what a weekend!
On Saturday Michael went back to work, while Bryce stayed home and was visited by several girls
dropping by with food and treats to console my youngest boy who seems too young
to be having so many female visitors!

It's been an interesting weekend....where is Mike when I need him?

23 years and counting

Today marks 23 years of marriage to this man!
Today I want to tell "My Man" how thankful I am to have found such a man as he is!
23 years ago all of our hopes and dreams were just that "Hopes" and "Dreams"
Rarely does a person get to actaully realize them and then live to tell about them!
And here we are.  Together and still going strong inspite of all the ups and downs, the hard times and the good times, the good, the bad, the difficult and the fabulous too!

This man I married is a good man thru and thru.  He certainly puts up with a lot from
this girl who has had so many ups and down.  All in all we have had a good time together
and we make sure to laugh a lot in spite of it all.

It is most apparent to both of us that there are 3 of us working this marriage,
this family and this life together.
There is certainly no way we could have done it alone.
So, mostly I thank my Heavenly Father for sending me this
"Good , Good Man"

And on to 23 more!
