Football Player's for Lunch

Last friday I had the chance to make lunch for these bunch of good looking football players.

Let me tell you what I learned about them...

1.  They made sure to say a prayer before they ate...wish I had a picture of that.

2.  These 5 boys along with one other boy are the only sophomores who play on the varsity team at Springville High school.

3.  Every one of these boys comes from a family of all boys ...except Karson #88 also has 1 sister.

4.  Everyone of them loved my lasagna and thanked me mutiple times.

5.  They refused to let me take their plates to the sink....I had to fight them and I did not win.

6.  They are all very cute and funny and talented athletes.

7. Two have brothers on missions right now and 1 has a brother that just came home from his mission.

8.  They are all good mormon boys!

9.  Stephen has found a bunch of boys who are just like him...didnt think it was possible.

10. They can come to my house anytime and I will gladly feed them again.

What happens in Park City stays in Park City!

So on Saturday Regina took Theresa and I up to Park City to celebrate Theresa's birthday.

 So she makes us get on this ski lift to go up to the very top of the mountain.

I'd say Theresa was really excited...what do you think?

So, we finally make it to the top of the mountain and we are now headed for this little restraunt down there with the green umbrellas.  You can see regina just hanging off of the railing and you dont see Theresa and I at all because we are sitting back hanging on to eachother for dear life!

So, we order lunch and we decide that everything looks so stinkin' good that we each order something different and share it all.  We made complete pigs out of ourselves and we loved every minute of it!

Regina was soooo hungry that she even ate the flowers...seriously...she really did...she should have eaten breakfast that morning.

After lunch we headed back down the mountain. 

Sick I tell ya, Sick!  

(Regina by this point is making fun of Theresa and I for being scared!)

 Theresa forgot something on the way back down. 

The funny thing about it was that on the way up Theresa was so afraid that she was gonna lose her shoes....LOL!

Luckily the gal running the lift made sure to send down the other one.

Together again at last!

So then we went shopping and tried on all these fancy coats and hats and pretended like we were gonna buy them.  

They were only priced at 1 or 2 THOUSAND DOLLARS a piece!

Then Theresa started missing Jerry a little too much...

so we thought we better head for home.

On our way back to the car we saw these pretty flowers in front of one of the shops....with a spatchula in the middle of them...figured they must have heard Regina was coming....luckily we didn't have time for her to take a bite plus she was still full from lunch lol!

Well, I guess what Happens In Park City...Stays in Park City!!!

Sister Missionaries

So many of my young sister friends are going on missions these days.  I am thrilled about it!  There are so many awesome young women in the church today and the Lord is preparing each one for something very special and important...to raise the next generation!  


 Onward Sister Soldiers!  

A Real Friend

Someone has said, 


“A friend is a person who is willing to take me the way I am.”


 Accepting this as one definition of the word, may I quickly suggest that we are something less than a real friend if we leave a person the same way we find him. There seems to be a misunderstanding on the part of some men today as to what it means to be a friend. Acts of a friend should result in self-improvement, better attitudes, self-reliance, comfort, consolation, self-respect, and better welfare. Certainly the word friend is misused if it is identified with a person who contributes to our delinquency, misery, and heartaches. When we make a man feel he is wanted, his whole attitude changes. Our friendship will be recognizable if our actions and attitudes result in improvement and independence. It takes courage to be a real friend. Some of us endanger the valued classification of friend because of our unwillingness to be one under all circumstances. Fear can deprive us of friendship. Some of us identify our closest friends as those with the courage to remain and share themselves with us under all circumstances. A friend is a person who will suggest and render the best for us regardless of the immediate consequences.

Can you believe...

Can you believe Stephen is running away from me in order to escape the picture I tried to take of him leaving for his first day of school yesterday?  WELL!  How Rude! :)
Anyway, he already has a posse of friends picking him up and giving him rides to football practice and school.  You could never mistake this child of mine for being shy...yet, when he was little he would never leave my side and was the SHYEST child we ever had.  I loved it! 
While Middle School age scares me, High School age I love!  I guess that is because both my older boys had a difficult time (growing pains) while in Middle School and by the time they made it to High School (age 14 - 15) they had pretty much decided who they wanted to be and were willing to make the sacrafices necessary in order to get there.  The big battles were over and it was just fun from then on out!  Let's hope that Bryce follows that same course.  I love teenagers!

Middle School...again

There he goes!  Bryce started Middle School yesterday.  They had a 7th grade day just to orient the 7th graders coming in this year.  Today he gets to stay home and tomorrow he starts school for real!  All the 8th and 9th graders will be there too.  Not looking forward to the next 2-3 years.  I think the Middle School years are the toughest and most crucial years by far.  On the bright side, this is the last time I will have to endure Middle School....yay! Maybe it will surprise me and be a piece of cake....nah, I doubt it.... Well, wish me luck!  Middle School here we come...

Now we are real residents!

My mother in law is one tough chick!  She decided we needed a mailbox since we've been here for over a month now.  So, Bryce dug a deep hole and she set the post.

Mike decided that he better finish it on Saturday.  

And I got to put the mailbox on top!

I guess now we are real residents!
