#7 reason why I love my family

#7 Well, it isnt because they like to climb tall buildings!

However, I love that they love to build them!  I just needed to show some recent pictures of the house.  Saturday Mike and the boys worked some more on it!  This roof has been quite a job!  Now they are finishing sheeting it so that we can close it up for the rest of the winter and not have to be working out in the cold anymore.

This is how it's looking these days.  At least it looks a little more like a house!

I do love that our family is building this house together!

#6 reason I love my family

#5 Well, it isnt because Michael is in another part of the world for 2 years!

However, he is serving the Lord on a mission and I am so proud of him!  Since Mike and I both served missions, we've wanted nothing more than for our boys to have that great blessing in their lives also.  Michael is our first missionary and he is loving it.  He has made us so proud and has blessed our lives so very much over the past year and a half that he has been out.  So, now we still have 2 more to go.  I sure hope and pray that we end up with 3 return missionary sons.  We are working very hard to make that happen.  I love Mike for wanting it just as badly as I do and I love my boys for wanting to follow the prophet and serve missions.  In a few years I hope we will be a family full of return missionaries and that is one of the things I love most about my little family!

#5 reason I love my family

#5 Well, it isn't because they like to wear ripped clothing!

He came home one night suddenly from a party and said he sat down and his pants ripped, so he called a good friend who hurried over to his rescue and drove him home to change.  I took this picture and then he quickly changed and went back to the party)

However, I love that my boys all like to look nice.  I caught Bryce in my bathroom yesterday morning blow drying a spot on his t-shirt before he went to school.  Stephen is all about his wardrobe and is always asking "does'nt this make me look hot"?  Michael always looked good before he left on his mission and of course he wears a white shirt and tie everyday now....what's not "hot" about a young man in a shirt and tie? And last but not least, Mike takes longer than all of us to get ready for anything!

My Men Love to Look Good!  Now that is what I call HOT!

#4 reason I love my family

#4 Well, it isnt because we have awesome girls in our family!

However, being a family of all boys and "your's truly" we love to have girls over!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the day with this cute friend of ours Kelsey.

She is one of the many cute girls from our ward in California  She is such an easy-going, and fun loving young woman.  She is living in Utah now and she came by to spend the day with me.  The boys love having girls over, as you can probably imagine.  And Mike especially likes to cook for beautiful girls! We had a great meal and a wonderful visit with her.  Kelsey is the 4th girl we've had come and visit from Sacramento since we moved here.  Hmmm, do you think it's because they enjoy my company, or because of my handsome men?  I guess we'll never really know.  I'm just glad they like to come and visit us!

#3 reason I love my family

#3 Well, it isnt because we are all professional singers!

However, they all love music. And I love that!  You will never catch Mike singing in the shower and you can barely hear him singing in church.  However, when it comes to encouraging the kids to develop their musical talent, he pushes them much harder than I do, and he is their biggest fan. (And he is always trying to bribe me in some way to sing to him.)  I basically forced us to buy this old piano many years ago and I am so gald I did!  I love that the boys love to sing and dance and write love songs.  They truly are a bunch of music-loving romantic heart-throbs!  And they are all mine! 

#2 reason why I love my family

#2 Well, it isnt because we are all great basketball players!

But I love that we play together and have fun!  Even though my boys are so competitive!  Michael was the basketabll player of the family and now Bryce and Stephen are getting more and more interested.  What sport do they not like?  I love that my family is so athletic and sports minded.  There are other things in life I know, but when I watch my boys play sports, my heart goes pitter-patter!
