One week down

Here's the latest look at our new house.  Finally getting that roof shingled, and that huge mound of dirt that has been sitting in front is finally being moved!

Of course this is what Mike is most excited about...the garage!
  It stands about 12ft. tall and 27ft x 34ft.
He is pretty dang excited about being able to fit his truck inside!
Here is another view from the inside.
And the inside looking out.  One garage door for me and one for him!
And this week we will finally get the outside doors to the house installed.
Looking forward to that, as it will start looking more and more like a house!
We celebrated our 22nd Wedding anniversary Friday night by going to the temple with Mike's folks and doing sealings for some family members.  Mike and I were able to seal my grandmother and grandfather on my dad's side together.  Then we sealed 5 of their children to them.  Mom had about 70 other names of which we did about 30.  It was a great experience.  There were 2 other young couples who helped us out.  It was a wonderful way to spend our wedding anniversary.  We usually go the temple on our anniversary each year but doing sealings for family was a special treat!
I did something for Mike that I haven't done in years....made homemade bread for him as an anniversary gift.  You would have thought he had died and gone to heaven.  He loves when I go out of my way to cook something special for him....especially bread!
I also took all of his favorite recipes and put them in this binder for him.
Mike loves anything made from the heart. He is a happy man!
And guess what he gave me?  Actually this tub is pretty tiny.  But the great thing about it is that the tub we have now is so huge that it takes up too much water and swallows me when I bathe.  I love to take baths and Mike knows it, I was excited to see that we will have a bathtub that is just my size and I can actually relax in, in our new home!
Oh, and Bryce got a new fishing pole, fishing lisence and gear for his birthday.  He has been wanting to take up fishing for a very long time now.  He is hoping his Dad can tear himself away from the house this Saturday to take him!
Stephen's two favorite loves these days....baseball and texting!
Actually we attended a fundraiser dinner for baseball at the high school on Saturday night and then Stephen went rollerskating with his friends and while he was gone the doorbell rang at about 10:00 pm
and this was delivered for him...
A special invitation...
This will happen on April 1st.  Stephen turns 16 on March 29th so this will be his first date.  Let me just say that my Sophmore boy
 was not at all dissappointed
to find out which Senior girl sent these yummy muffins
and this cute invitation....he is a happy boy!

Well, one week down and 3 more to go!

Happy March!

Happy March 2011!  Can you believe it is already March?  The weather is beautiful today! I can't believe how fast time is flying by this year already.  It seems like we just had Christmas!  I feel like I have been on the go ever since.  Of course we have all our family birthdays and anniversaries early in the year so it just seems like the celebrating never stops til summer!  We have a very busy month ahead of us...well at least I do.  I have a friend coming out to visit and we are going Utah Temple hopping, with a trip to Moab.  Then I have a trip to Vegas and a trip to Idaho and a possible trip to California too.   Then a trip to Logan the very first week of April for a Mission Reunion with an old companion.  So, I am trying to keep life in control as much as possible this month so that I can handle all this traveling and visiting coming up.  So, much posting ahead coming with some updated pictures of the house....soooo...here's to March 2011!

Happy Birthday to my sweetheart!

Today Mike turns 48!  We are exactly 3 months apart...so I like to tease him about being older than me for just 3 short months! Gosh!  Can you believe it?  We are actually growing old together and guess what?  It is rather fun!
Last night Bryce made this beautiful cake for his Dad as we celebrated
with good food, family and fun!
So, today we can relax and just enjoy being together as a family on this special day of the year!   Good thing it is Sunday because I know if he had it his way he would be celebrating by working on the house!
But instead he will be relaxing and enjoying the Sabbath day.
So, happy birthday to the man who is our everything!
And just to name a few:
Loving Husband
Great Dad
Great Cook
Hard Worker
Great Craftsman
Honest
Great Leader
Strong Priesthood Holder
Full of Integrity
Determined
Kind and Loving
Faithful and Strong
And just plain ol' good to the core!

Happy Birthday Honey!
We love you so much!

Eddie Spaghetti your meatballs are ready!

Yep! That's what we would always say to him!
Today is my brother Eddie's birthday!  He is one year older than me and we are both getting closer and closer to being over the hill!  However, the older we get the wiser we get...right?  I sure hope so!  I have been thinking about Eddie so much lately.
He will probably never see this post but that doesnt really matter because I love him just the same and I dont want to ever forget how special he is to our family.
This picture shows him and his daughter Tabbatha many years ago.  Tabbatha is turning 20 next week!  She was probably around 5 or 6 at this time.  Life flies by so fast doesnt it?  But for right now I want to just call out a big I LOVE YOU to my big brother Eddie.  Eddie was always the life of the party when we were little.  He loves to dance and sing (all the Stephenson's love to sing), play guitar and just be silly. He is a great basketball player(even tho he only stands at 5'7 or 8") and was a great wrestler in high school.  Eddie used to love to hide in dark shadows in the house and then jump out and scare us...Oh I hated that when I was young...(still hate it when Bryce does it to me). He is quite the handy man and is great at working on cars. Eddie is a very tender-hearted and loving brother.  He is one of a kind and is passionate and determined to survive whatever life throws at him.  I love him to pieces and look forward to seeing him again when we get back to California.  Eddie Spaghetti, your meatballs are ready!

A dancer in the family

Well, Bryce is taking a dance class now.  He really wanted to learn how to do Hip Hop.  So, we went to a nearby dance studio where they teach all different kinds of dancing and he tried a Hip Hop class and left feeling extremely frustrated.  He did see a couple of friends from school there who were also taking a ballroom dance class.  So, he decided to try that the following week.  And bingo!  He loved it!  They have been teaching him the waltz and also some swing dancing.  He comes home each week and shows me some of his new moves.  Mike and I are so excited to see Bryce become better and better at this.  It is so fun to watch and even more fun to do.  I really hope he keeps up with it.  I know it will prove to bless him the rest of his life!
